The Banco Central burglary at Fortaleza was the theft of about R$160 million from the vault of the Banco Central branch located in Fortaleza, in the state of Ceará, Brazil. In the aftermath of the burglary, of the 25 people thought to be involved, just eight had been arrested, and $20 million recovered, up to the end of 2005.

Brink's-MAT Robbery

The Brink's-Mat robbery occurred early on November 26, 1983 when six robbers broke into the Brink's-Mat warehouse. Once inside, they poured petrol over staff and threatened them with a lit match if they did not reveal the combination numbers of the vault. The robbers stole £26 million worth of gold, diamonds, and cash.

The Securitas Depot robbery was the largest cash robbery in British history. Several men abducted and threatened the family of the manager, tied up fourteen staff members and stole £53,116,760 in bank notes from a Securitas Cash Management Ltd depot in Vale Road, Tonbridge, Kent.
